Do you know about Malware that infect people through Removable Disk(USB Flash Disk,Eksternal Hard disk,Memory Card,Memory stick,etc)?All of them use Autorun.inf to automatically infect themselves to your computer.Autorun.inf will automatically work when you plug in your Removable disk devices,so you will have no chance to evade it from running...
But you can turn off this Autorun.inf function so you will have a chance to scan your devices before you open it.This is the tricks to disable Autorun.inf from automatically running:
1.Click Start,Run.
2.Type "gpedit.msc" (without ").
3.Group Policy Windows will appear.
4.Click Administrative Template inside Left-side Windows,and double-click "System" folder in Right-side Windows.5.Double-click "Turn off auto play".
6."Turn off autoplay" Pop-up will appear.Click "enabled".Scroll-down and Choose "All-Drive".
Note:Your XP Performance will be better after do this,and you will be safer from Removable Disk Malware/Spyware.(you'll have a chance to scan before open it.)
